So, you are Christian, right? What makes you different? What sets you apart? What is that still small voice that guides you?

The answer to the above is The Holy Spirit. We serve a Triune God. Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

The question is, how do Christians benefit from The Holy Spirit.

From scriptures we understand that Holy Spirit is our Comforter Jhn 14:26. He helps us in ten time of needs. He give us power and He also fights for us.

In today ‘s post I will look at how the Holy Spirit fights for us.

We live in a besieged world. There is deep darkness on this earth which is full of cruelty. We therefore need a higher power on our side so  that we are not made vulnerable to the wickedness of the wicked.

So how does the Holy Spirit fights for us?

He is a Spirit of vengeance in silencing the wickedness of the wicked.

Exo 12:12 “ For I will pass through the land of Egypt this night, and will smite all the firstborn in the land of Egypt, both man and beast; and against all the gods of Egypt I will execute judgment: I am the Lord.”

Is. 61:2 “To proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord, and the day of vengeance of our God; to comfort all that mourn.”

He is a spirit of joy that establishes divine presence for conquest.

Ps 114:1-8 “When Israel went out of Egypt, the house of Jacob from a people of strange language; Judah was his sanctuary, and Israel his dominion. The sea saw it, and fled: Jordan was driven back. The mountains skipped like rams, and the little hills like lambs. What ailed thee, O thou sea, that thou fleddest? thou Jordan, that thou wast driven back? Ye mountains, that ye skipped like rams; and ye little hills, like lambs? Tremble, thou earth, at the presence of the Lord, at the presence of the God of Jacob; Which turned the rock into a standing water, the flint into a fountain of waters.”

Rom 8:31- “What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us?”

He is a spirit of faith which quench all the fiery darts of the devil

Eph 6:16 “Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.”

He is the spirit of might that rouses the camp of our enemies.

Is. 11:1-2 “And there shall come forth a rod out of the stem of Jesse, and a Branch shall grow out of his roots:

And the spirit of the Lord shall rest upon him, the spirit of wisdom and understanding, the spirit of counsel and might, the spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the Lord”

Jud 14:19 “And the Spirit of the Lord came upon him, and he went down to Ashkelon, and slew thirty men of them, and took their spoil, and gave change of garments unto them which expounded the riddle. And his anger was kindled, and he went up to his father’s house.”

Judges 15:14-15 “And when he came unto Lehi, the Philistines shouted against him: and the Spirit of the Lord came mightily upon him, and the cords that were upon his arms became as flax that was burnt with fire, and his bands loosed from off his hands. And he found a new jawbone of an ass, and put forth his hand, and took it, and slew a thousand men therewith.

He is the anointing which breaks yokes.

Is 10:25-27 “For yet a very little while, and the indignation shall cease, and mine anger in their destruction. And the Lord of hosts shall stir up a scourge for him according to the slaughter of Midian at the rock of Oreb: and as his rod was upon the sea, so shall he lift it up after the manner of Egypt. And it shall come to pass in that day, that his burden shall be taken away from off thy shoulder, and his yoke from off thy neck, and the yoke shall be destroyed because of the anointing.”

The Holy Spirit is the cornerstone of a meaningful Christian life. There is obviously more to Him than what is above. Why not delve more in scriptures about the Holy Spirit to understand more of Him. http://www.godvine.com/bible/category/holy-spirit
